Yesterday we got a late start and ventured into the Pollen Grains. The Pollen Grains are known for their ridiculously tall blocks and high quantity of 3 star problems. Mesothelioma, Golden Showers, Jedi Mind Tricks, The Spectre, Suspended In Silence and Flight of the Bumblebee all call the Pollen Grains home. After a prompt warm up on the Lidija Boulder we decided to try our hand in the high ball arena and promptly laid siege to Suspended in Silence. It was a great line with everything from a starting dyno to deft footwork on solid crimps and perfect pinches. The problem tops out at around 25 feet with a stellar gaston lock off for the finishing jugs. Dan sent first, with Tim and I following soon after. I have to tell you, I am really getting into highballs lately and finding a strange sense of solitude in the moments that I am exposed up there on the rock.

At the end of the day we headed over to the Fly Boy Boulder and had a huge session. There were no less then 20 people and as many pads. With a great landing and lots of spotters the session was going off and everyone was throwing themselves at, as well as off, the boulder. I decided not to partake in the session and took photos instead, managing to grab this shot of Joe from Humboldt that I am pretty proud of. Capturing a great moment is the best way to end the day.
