Well I am finally getting settled after being here for a couple of days. I forgot how arduous moving can be. I won’t get to much into the details of the road trip out here but lets just say it went smoothly aside from taking the long way from Wyoming into Colorado and almost running out of gas. I actually broke out my camera on the way out here and took quite a few pictures; it felt good to be taking pictures again, just for my own enjoyment and not to have to worry about school, grades or portfolios. I am going to try and bust out the camera at least once a day while I am here, get me back in the habit of shooting.

I am extremely happy with my place! Like I said in my previous post, it is a 1 bedroom on 17th and Grove and it is only 3 blocks away from Pearl S., which is where all the restaurant, bars and stores are. Kelly and I walked to dinner and the bars on Saturday night and I have to tell you, it is so nice to be able to leave my truck parked in the driveway and hoof it everywhere. I still haven’t gotten a bike yet, which I am going to try and take care of today. Once I get that done the only time I will ever drive my truck is if I go grocery shopping or if I am leaving the city of Boulder.

I finally was able to go climbing last night, which was much needed and deserved because it had been 5 days since I last climbed; that’s the longest I haven’t climbed in months! I went to The Spot Bouldering Gym and was thoroughly impressed. Not only are their freestanding boulders HUGE but the route setting for was excellent. I didn’t climb too hard but it was nice to just be able to get on the wall and expend some energy I am going to be headed down south to Colorado Springs to go climb with Max and the rest of the crew today. Max was saying we might be going to an area called 11 Mile, which neither of us have been too. If we don’t head there we will be going to Ute Pass, which is the area that I visited when I was here in October of last year. It will be nice to finally get on some rock and pull hard. Stay tuned because I will be updating again soon with pictures from the road trip out here, my new place and todays climbing excursion.
